Benazir Bhutto served as the first woman Prime Minister of Pakistan. She served from 1988-1990 then again in 1993-1996. Benazir Bhutto was a great women who was all about the people she didn't go into office because she wanted the power, she went for the people of Pakistan. One of my favorite quotes from her is, "Whatever my aims and agendas were, I never asked for power." ~Benazir Bhutto. One of Benazir Bhutto's main goals was to get human rights for all, especially women. After her death Benazir Bhutto was named one of seven winners of the United Nations Prize in the Field of Human Rights. Even though she wasn't alive to get the award it shows that her hard work was being seen.
This abstract image is a representation of Benazir Bhutto because she was able to put her foot in the door of non-equal rights and start a movement. Even though she was assassinated before she could be reelected she started a movement. Benazir Bhutto was able to put a foot in the door towards a better Pakistan. Because of her hard work to get her foot in the door of getting equal rights for all, people are able to continue on her great work. I think it shows that in many cases if you can just take the first step and get your foot in the door you can do many great things.
