Tim Burton was born on August 25, 1958, in Burbank, CA. As a child, he was isolated from the world. He lived with his parents, but his parents (father mostly) withdrew from him. He daydreamed most of the time, while the rest of the time was watching B-movies and reading Famous Monsters of Filmland. After he was infatuated by the morbid side of Hollywood, he was inspired to draw and create animations. When he was ten, he moved to his grandmother's home. due to the fact that he grew up from his parents withdrawing from him, he grew up withdrawing from everyone else, which, in fact, lead him to create his estranged movies. We'll get to that later. Through his artistic talent, he got a scholarship to the California Institute of the Arts in Valencia, CA.
Tim worked in Disney for the first part of his career. His first piece he worked on at Disney was "The Fox and the Hound" (1981). Afterwards, his first piece he did on his own was "Vincent" (1982). His next was live action called, "Frakenweenie" (1984), which he later redid into a stop motion film. He created many memorable movies throughout the years. One of his famous movies, Pee-Wee Herman's Big Adventure, is one of his few movies that's not dark.
This abstract of Tim burton represents the movies he has done, and the ideas in his head. The quote on the side, "One person's craziness is another person's reality", shows that even the most ridiculous ideas can be someone else's life. For Tim Burton, that means dark, twisted, weird, but comedic ideas coming to life on the big screen.
This short film is one of he first that Tim Burton did. It's about a boy who wants to be like Vincent Price. Throughout the video, Vincent imagines terrible things that happen to him, or what he does. This shows what Tim Burton sees in his mind and puts it on screen.
