jiro ono was born on december 2 1924 in tokyo japan. he was born in a family that consisted of him his mother and his father. his father was an alcoholic and often beet him and his mother. he was kicked out oh his home in the first grade, his father simply told him that he had no home to come back to. after that Jiro lived under a bridge by a temple for ten years of his life still attending school. he had a handful of different jobs from noodle maker to a farm hand. when the war started he joined the army. once his time serving was up he decided to take up a new occupation making sushi. he had a dream of himself making sushi in his own sushi restaraunt. ever since then he had been driven to make the best sushi in the world. he is never satisfied with his own work. even though his sushi was voted best in japan.
this image represents how much time and effort Jiro has put into his sushi. one of my fsvorite quotes from him says "once you decide what you want to do you must fall in lov with your work, never complain about your job you must dedicate your life to mastering your skill, that is the key to life". this just shows that you wont be good at something unless you love what your doing and dedicate time towards it
this is a trailer for the 2011 documentary Jiro Dreams of Sushi. this documentary highlights the life of Jiro and his restraraunt. it also talks about his family and his sons that are preparing to take his place.
