Frida Kahlo, a women who suffered pain, wanted to paint to show the world all the pain that she had to suffer. Frida was born as Magdalena Carmen
Frieda Calderon,during the Mexican revolution in cuyacan, sinaloa, Mexico. At first, Frida didn't wanted to be an artist, till the day that a horrible accident made her life change forever. This accident made her stay in bed almost her whole entire life. Frida married the famous Mexican artist Diego RIvera on August 21,1929 and again in Dececember 8,1940. In 1954 Frida died.
In this painting Frida is showing that she feels defenseless as a deer that is being attacked from all sides. The deer horns represent the defenses that Frida has against the world. The trees represents all the deaths that had happen throughout her life. The sea stands out for the Frida's future that far away from her . The wounds from the arrows represent the wounds that she received through out her life.
